Transform Parent-Child Relationships Through
Time Together

—SAYYES—

Encourage

Jameson’s Joy encourages parents to #sayyes to their children through intentional decsions to put the children first. Our children desire our time and attention. Too often we bring home our frustrations and lack of energy from our professions. We give our own children our leftovers. This is just not acceptable.

Empower

Jameson’s Joy looks to provide opportunities for parents to spend time with their children. These opportunities include:

  • Providing copies of Daddy Hug to fathers of newborns.

  • Hosting breakfasts for fathers to attend with their children.

  • Hosting parent-child events to provide easy opportunities for parents to put their children first.

Enjoy

Parenting is a privilege, and one that is to be taken seriously. Jameson’s Joy encourages parents to find the joy in their children’s lives and intentionally work to be a part of this joy.

  • Father Friday Carpool

Dads are encouraged to give the ladies the day off. every Friday. Make arrangements with work to free your time for your child. Take them through carpool and spend that time listening to what’s going on in their life. Send them into the school building with a last word of encouragement and love. Then be the one to pick the child up at the end of the day, and again listen to what’s going on in their life.

  • Father Fist Pumps

Fathers gather at school to greet the kids on their way into the building, giving them fist pumps and encouraging words to start their day.

  • Father-Child Breakfasts

Fathers are invited with their children to attend a breakfast event with dedicated time with their children that includes breakfast and discussion topics.

  • Love It!

Children love to read with their parents. That is a simple fact. Most people have memories of curling up with their parents with their favorite book. These intentional moments make such an impact on children both in their future successes but also simply the memories with their parents.

  • Do It!

    Research is clear.

    Reading reduces stress.

Reading help us build a better vocabulary.

    Reading stimulates imagination.

    Reading lights up new ideas.

    Reading improves focus and concentration.

    Reading improves your memory.

    Reading improves our language skills.

    Reading gives us new knowledge.

  • Grow It!

Jameson and his brother Rhys both cherished reading with their parents each and every day. That is why we provide copies of Jameson’s favorite book, Daddy Hug, to fathers of newborns, to encourage fathers to read with their children.

Jameson’s Joy is also providing books to children who need them through direct donations and by installing little libraries in neighborhoods. Children need easy access to books in order to faciliate the development of a love of reading.
